  • Police Presence: Canada has about 186 police officers per 100,000 people, compared to the U.S. at approximately one officer per 412 people

  • Crime Overview:

    • In 2024, Canada’s overall crime rate fell by 4%, averaging 5,672 incidents per 100,000 people Statistics Canada.

    • Alberta experienced a significant drop of 8.5% in police-reported crime, while Ontario and British Columbia saw decreases of 0.9% and 7.4%, respectively Statistics Canada+1.
